We stayed in a Luxury Tent!

After kindly being offered a night away at Rackery Retreat Alex and I couldn’t say no! staying in a luxury glamping tent with a log burner, roll-top bath, hot tub, built-in kitchen, and bedrooms, yes, please!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely owner Andrew and got stuck into a great bit of conversation before being shown around our luxurious pad!

As I said above, the tent was fully equipped with everything we could have ever needed for a luxurious camping experience even two snuggly hot water bottles, lots of lovely candles, big thick dressing gowns and some slippers! The tent is split into sections with a fully equipped kitchen dining area with a beautiful log burner and built-in sofa and a perfectly laid out table with all the tableware and cutlery you could ever need. The floor was wooden but had two lovely cosy rugs. Alongside the log burner, there were also two electric heaters just for added warmth.

There was two-bedroom options, one accessed by a small ladder which the inner child in me thought was fabulous, kitted out with fairy lights and cosy sunngly bedding, sectioned off by a wooden door with a cutout heart shape! Whats not to love! it was serious camping goals! There was also a second sleeping area which was a more traditional four-poster style bed dressed with sheer white material, this room was divided by a tent ‘wall’ with zip access. This area also had a window, a bulit in wardobe and a little safe.

Moving onto the next area, the bath room, accessed by a slide across door. Oh my! trust me when I say it was fabulous, it had a beautiful rolled top bath that I thoroughly enjoyed, a built-in shower with fabulous water pressure, a toilet and a lovely sink with a big mirror, and there was a window just to the right of it with views of the countryside. What a way to clean your teeth! When you’re relaxing in the tub you would never think you’re in a field!

The outside space was just as lovely as the inside with a big hot tub and a privete seating area. Even though the weather was chilly it didn’t stop us from enjoying this little luxury. The views in front of the hot tub and all around us for that matter were unspoiled and you could see for miles! Come night time the skies were perfectly clear for some stargazing!

Our stay was thoroughly enjoyed and we can’t wait to go back, we slept so well and we couldn’t believe how comfy the beds were! A little thing that made the sleeping experience even better for me was that the tent stayed dark in the morning which was a huge bonus as I wake up with light so I was able to have a lovely long lie in. In fact, I could have stayed in bed all day it was that cosy! Making breakfast was fun we cooked bacon rolls on the gass hob and had some fruit juice freshly chilled by the available fridge. We then had a lovely day out shopping at Cheshire oaks which was just a 20-minute drive away.

We came home from our stay feeling very fresh and relaxed and I cannot recommend staying here enough, you wouldn’t be disappointed!

Thank you very much to Andrew and Jenny for having us we hope to see you soon.
